Here’s a simple NLP technique that you can use covertly to get someone to agree with you on a certain point. You can use this trick when negotiating a pay rise, selling a product in person or anytime you’re trying to work people over to your side of the fence. All it requires is using a technique known as anchoring.

Before you reach the moment/question/sales pitch where you want to get the other person to agree with you, you must first lay some groundwork. Ask your target a few yes or no questions. This isn’t a yes set where you want the person to only answer yes. You actually want a mixture of both yes and no answers.

Whenever they answer a question with a yes, flash them a sincere smile (this may take some practice in the mirror) and tie this in with a certain gesture. This can be any gesture you choose, but make sure it’s simple and subtle. For example when you smile you might touch your chin with your index finger. When they answer no stay pretty stony faced and tie this in with another separate gesture that can’t be mistook for the first, If you use the example I gave above for yes, then you could blink and leave your eyes closed for a second longer than you would normally.

Now that you have anchored a positive and negative reaction you have set up your target. This is when it’s time to strike. When you ask the BIG question wherever it’s “Will you give me a raise?” or “Would you like to meet up next Saturday?” you then use the gesture that you used whenever they answered yes. This will resonate in their subconscious mind, and without even consciously thinking about it, nine times out of ten they will agree.

It doesn’t really take much practice to do. You might want to practice your gestures in the mirror to make sure they look natural but that’s about it.

And that’s how to get someone to agree with you.

When training to be a hypnotist it is extremely important to be able to spot the signs of hypnotic trance. These signs indicate when your target has been hypnotized and is ready to absorb your hypnotic suggestions into the subconscious mind.

Look for these Signs of Hypnotic Trance

	Blinking rate slows down.

	Eyes appear glazed over.

Eyes redden due to increased blood flow.

	Eyelids flutter.

	Eyes close entirely.

	Breathing slows down.

Pulse slows down (check neck for this sign).

	Facial muscles become completely relaxed.

Muscles around the face, particularly the eyes, twitch.

	Face becomes slightly paler.

	Target becomes “immobile”.

Target’s voice becomes slower and deeper.

	Instinctive reactions greatly reduced.

	No reaction to external noise.

You have their complete attention and focus.

People don’t tend to display every single one of these signs of hypnotic trance, but if you see a handful or more then you can be sure that you have sufficiently hypnotized your target to accept your suggestions.

Covert hypnotism has grown in use and popularity exponentially over the last few years thanks to the amount of information available on the internet, as well as great courses like The Power of Conversational Hypnosis. In fact even most hypnotherapists now use conversational hypnosis within their treatment programs. There are some key differences between covert hypnotism and traditional hypnotism and in this article we going to look at these differences and what they mean.

Covert or Overt?

The biggest difference between covert hypnotism and traditional hypnotism is the fact that one is done covertly (hidden) and the other is done overtly (out in the open). However as I mentioned above, more and more hypnotherapists now incorporate conversational hypnosis techniques into their therapeutic sessions as they can be very effective.

Speed of Induction

Covert hypnosis inductions are generally much quicker than those of traditional hypnosis. In traditional hypnosis where a hypnotherapists is treating a client they often have between thirty minutes to an hour in a single session. This gives them the opportunity to take their time and induce a very deep hypnotic trance in their client. However in covert hypnosis you may only have a few minutes to talk to the person you wish to hypnotize so the inductions tend to be much quicker, although not as deep as in traditional hypnosis.

Method of Language

You will probably be familiar of at least a “parody” of traditional hypnosis from older movies and television programs where the hypnotist is taking control of someone. Of course we know that a hypnotist can never control or brainwash a person in that sense now. As they hypnotize the person they are very direct, “You will not smoke anymore” is a good example of a direct command. However society has changed and this is no longer as effective as people are a lot more cynical and questioning of authority.

Covert hypnotism uses much softer, more indirect language as, by its very nature, it is more covert. For instance, to take the smoking example from above and convert it into indirect language you may get something more like, “You realize how expensive smoking is, how it badly it tastes and how unhealthy it is. Every cigarette shaves five minutes off your life, so why would you do it? When you smoke you’re taking valuable time off your life”. This is indirect and it gets the person questioning why they would ever want to smoke in the first place.

Eyes Wide Shut or Open?

If you’ve ever taken part, or seen, a traditional hypnosis session you will know that the client is asked to close their eyes. This is to help avoid visual distractions. Yet in covert hypnosis the person being hypnotized obviously has their eyes open. If you asked someone to close their eyes and then talked in a smooth flowing, hypnotic manner it would be crystal clear to them that you were trying to hypnotize them which is undesirable for the purposed of covert hypnotism.

Trance can still be achieved without eye closure. Signs of hypnotic trance include relaxed facial muscles, slow and steady breathing, speaking more slowly than normal in a lower pitch and blinking less often and more slowly. There are many others signs of hypnotic trance which I will soon be writing about.

I trust that this article has helped you to understand some of the key differences between covert hypnotism and traditional hypnotism. Both are valuable skills that are well worth learning. If you’d like to learn covert hypnotism for yourself I recommend The Power of Conversational Hypnosis course.

To truly master the seductive arts you need to learn how to use fractional rapport hooks. As you will probably already know rapport is the conversational bond you create with another person. If you have been studying NLP and conversational hypnosis you should already be able to build rapport pretty easily. What you are able to do with fractional rapport hooks is better hide the fact you are using “secret” and “covert” and also get a person really wanting your attention.

How is this done? Well the idea of fractional rapport is to offer your target your complete attention for a short period of time and hook them in with an incomplete story or piece of information. Then you take all of this away. This leaves the person you were talking to wanting more and craving your attention again.

Most people know a guy who’s a bit of a jerk with women, constantly playing hot and cold, yet they are consistently surrounded by them. At first it makes no sense to you but without knowing it (in most cases) they are using fractional rapport hooks. You too can experience great success with this method, and you don’t have to be a jerk about it…unless you want to be.

For example say you have struck up a conversation with a woman in a bar and you’re getting along well. You’ve asked her questions about her life and know you’re telling her a little story about yourself (either real or made up). Now if you see that she is enjoying yourself what you can do is act as if your mobile has gone off and you’ve received a text. Tell her that there’s a bit of an emergency at work or with a family member/friend and that you have to go right away. This will be a bit of a shock to her. Here the window is open. Now you can apologise and ask for her phone number so that you can get a chance to talk again. I have never known this not to work.

That is quite an extreme example though. Another method of using fractional rapport hooks is to tell a story but leave out key details. For instance you could talk about a great holiday you had but not mention the actual destination, make your target ask questions and they will become hooked into the story.

Using fractional rapport hooks is almost like play fighting with a dog over a piece of rope. You give them a little slack but then you pull it right back in. It’s easy to do and it’s one of the few techniques which just impossible to spot from the point of view of the other person. It doesn’t feel like a game, it feels real and that is the real secret to building great rapport.

There are many covert hypnosis courses available on the internet, some good…and some not so good. Perhaps the best known is the controversial Underground Hypnosis course produced by Taylor Starr. But is that the best? Not in my opinion. While it doesn’t get quite the same amount of press or coverage I have found, out of all the covert hypnosis courses I have tried, that The Power of Conversational Hypnosis course is by far the best on the market. Allow me to explain why.

No other course or program is as in-depth as The Power of Conversational Hypnosis. There are over 17 hours of audio instructions as well as a few eBooks thrown in to the mix. All of this material has been recorded or written by master hypnotist Igor Ledochowski who is a very clear communicator which makes the lessons he teaches very easy to follow.

Igor is clearly very confident that The Power of Conversational Hypnosis is the best covert hypnosis course available as he happily offers a 60 day money back guarantee, although I can guarantee that after you’ve bought the course you will have no reason to ask for a refund.

Topics covered building rapport, signal recognition, hypnotic language, building authority, emotional triggers, destroying resistance, inductions, frame control, trance formulas, and how to master conversational hypnosis. That is everything you need to know about covert hypnosis all in one course.

So if you’ve been considering buying a covert hypnosis course then I would fully recommend The Power of Conversational Hypnosis.

Presuppositions are considered to be one of the most powerful language patterns within NLP. The idea is to presuppose an outcome as if it is guaranteed to happen. When used correctly the person you are talking to will make the connection that this outcome is bound to happen. For example if you are meeting with a new client to discuss a contract you might use the line “Before we finalize the contract, would you like something to drink?”. It sounds like you are giving your client a choice, but in reality the choices having nothing to do with each other. You are steering them towards what you want to happen.

Here you can see that the fact that finalizing the contract has been presupposed within a question about having something to drink. The desired outcome has been presupposed. You can use such presuppositions to control the flow and tempo of the conversation so that you always end up presupposing the outcome you want. Before long these frequent presuppositions and suggestions will stick to your target’s subconscious mind and the outcome won’t be in the question at all. It will be as if you both wanted the same thing from the very get go.

There a few different ways to use presuppositions to get what you want.

Ors

Or presuppositions gives the illusion of choice but have the intention of one definite outcome. There is often an “or” in many other presuppositions too.

“Should we go out for a drink or go to a restaurant instead?”

Here you are presupposing that you are definitely going out. The only question is where.

Numeric Indicators

Numeric indicators use words such as first, second, third, etc to indicate order.

“Do you want to go to X first or Y?”

Here you’ve given someone two choices of where to go yet they could easily be two places you want to go anyway.

Time Based

Time bases presuppositions use words such as now, then, after, when, prior etc to presuppose a time of action.

“Would you like my phone number now or when we leave the club?”

This is an effective presupposition because now only are you assuming that they want your number but you will be leaving the club together. An excellent presupposition for seduction purposes.

Twisting Time

Much like time based presuppositions except less obvious. Common words used include start, stop, begin, end, continue, already, etc.

“Do you want to continue this here, or go elsewhere to finish it off?

This presupposes that the person wants to continue whatever discussion is going on.

There are a few other methods of slipping in presuppositions into conversation but the four ways above are the main ways, and all you need to know to start using them to get what you want.

Some people use presuppositions without even realizing it so they probably don’t quite understand why others seem to do what they want more often than not. However you now know what presuppositions are and how to use them. This means that you can pattern your use of them direct people towards the specific outcome you want. I’m sure I don’t have to tell you how useful this can be.

I hope you have enjoyed this article and begin using presuppositions to get what you want. Your powers of persuasion will increase dramatically for it.

One of the great things about the internet is the way it has provided people with nearly instant access to almost any information imaginable. I believe it is partly thanks to the internet that hypnosis, and particularly covert hypnosis have become such hot topics for discussion. Around the world millions of people are learning more about covert hypnosis everyday. Despite this though there are still very few people who actually use covert hypnosis in their regular life.

Before I explain why people fear using covert hypnosis perhaps first I should clarify what it actually is. Covert hypnosis is a set of skills and techniques that allow an individual to become more persuasive, be seen as a leader and get what they want out of life. It’s easy to understand why so many people set about learning covert hypnosis, but what is it that holds them back from using it?

Well it’s not just one thing. There are actually three reasons why a student of covert hypnosis may never once use the skills they have spent their time learning.

1. The fear of being “caught”. This is a fear many covert hypnosis students have. They think they’ll start using covert hypnosis out in public and be caught immediately. There really is nothing to worry about though. While many people may have a grasp of covert hypnosis the entire point of the skill is that it is subtle, so no-one will spot you and call you out. Even if they did realise you were using covert hypnosis, what are they going to do? They can’t admonish you as simply by stating you are using covert hypnosis shows that they have advance knowledge of the subject and use it also. Their cover is then blown. The worst thing that can possibly happen is you’ll have a little secret together.

2. Perfectionism. This is closely linked in with the first point. People try and become perfect practitioners of covert hypnosis before trying it in the field. This will never work though because it is impossible to become “perfect” at anything. Also to become as close to perfect as you possibly can get at covert hypnosis you need real life experience. Things don’t always go smoothly in the real world and you need that sort of experience to learn how to think on your feet quickly.

3. An inferiority complex. Some people simply don’t believe they are worthy of having a superior grasp over the minds’ of others. However think about this from the other way around. Should you have to deal with people not really respecting you or listening to what you have to say? Of course not. By learning covert hypnosis you are showing the drive to make something of yourself, this alone shows that you are more than worthy of having people follow your words.

I hope that these simple points will help you to overcome any fears of using covert hypnosis that you may have. The only way you’ll ever get a return on the time (and money) you have spent learning covert hypnosis is to use it. Start simply with some of the more basic techniques such as embedded commands and work your way up. You will soon find your confidence and the words will flow comfortably from your mouth with little to no conscious effort.

Hello and welcome to the inaugural post here at NLP Hypnosis Secrets. I thought that before I began dispensing potentially life change information I should first explain the purpose and goals of this blog.

As you may no doubt have guessed from the title of this blog I will be discussing the many secrets and techniques contained within both NLP and hypnosis. This will include articles on NLP, hypnosis, covert hypnosis, self hypnosis, hypnotic inductions and seduction techniques.

The information contained within NLP Hypnosis Secrets will be incredibly powerful. Regular readers will soon learn how to hack not only their own mind but other peoples too. Imagine what this will mean for your life. You can become a confident go getter with the ability to persuade people to do almost anything you want them to.

This doesn’t come without work though. The techniques I will teach you require great thought and practice to be mastered. Nevertheless if you have the dedication you will receive great rewards.
